• Elliott Appel

    Head of Product, UGM Americas Structured Products, UBS

    Elliott oversees UBS’s structured product origination, development and execution functions. His responsibilities include managing UBS’s product offerings, new product capabilities, strategic initiatives, trading and execution, education, marketing and analytics. Elliott also leads our operational risk and business management initiatives.

    Elliott joined UBS in 2009 as part of the Legal Department. In his legal capacity, Elliott counseled Structured Products and Fixed Income Solutions (Taxable and Municipal) on syndicate and secondary transactions as well as regulatory and risk items. He began with Structured Products as the Head of Business Development in 2016, responsible for new strategic initiatives, product governance and risk management. In 2024 Elliott became the Head of Product, responsible for the origination, development and execution of structured products. 

    Elliott holds a B.A. in Political Science with a double major in International Business from Washington University in St. Louis. He also holds a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School.

    Elliott holds FINRA Series 7, 66, 79, and 24 licenses and is a registered attorney in New York.

  • Michael D'Auria

    Executive Director - Head of Advisor Sales with the Structured Investments team, J.P. Morgan

    Michael D'Auria and his team are responsible of the manufacturing and marketing of cross‐asset structured investments through broker/dealers and registered investment advisors in the United States as well as marketing efforts that occur in support of non-JPM products offering exposure to J.P. Morgan’s Investable Index suite including fixed indexed annuities. 

    Michael joined J.P. Morgan in 1999 and obtained his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Fordham University.

  • Deep Gandhi

    Managing Director - Head of Distribution, Structured Products Americas, UBS

    Deep joined UBS in 2003 and was inaugural member of the Structured Solutions business when it was formed in 06/07. He is currently Head of Structured Products Distribution in the Americas. In this role he leads sales and consulting teams that focus on education of structured products to financial advisors and end clients and their implementation in portfolios. The teams are responsible for sales efforts of the business which includes new product sales and after sales support, increasing penetration in all client segments and new user acquisition. He spends majority of his time covering advisors and institutional wealth clients with large, complex situations requiring customized solutions.

    Deep was the head of Structured Solutions Product Development and Customized Solutions through 2023. In this role he lead a team that focuses on analyzing derivative markets for actionable ideas and structuring and development of structured notes tailored for specific client needs. Over the last decade, Deep has been instrumental in building a league table leading structured solutions platform in the Americas region.

    Prior to joining the new structured solutions team in Jan 2007, Deep was an Options Strategist, where he was responsible for structuring and executing listed option strategies for client portfolios.

    Deep holds Series 4, 7, 9 and 66 securities licenses.

    Deep received a Masters of Business Administration in finance and investments from Baruch College, City University of New York and a Bachelors of Commerce in accounting and economics from the University of Mumbai, India.

  • BRANDON IGYARTO

    Managing Director, Head of SIDM, Americas, J.P. Morgan

    Brandon is the head of J.P. Morgan’s SIDM business for the Americas. The SIDM (“Structured Investments Distributor Marketing”) business delivers the Commercial & Investment Bank’s solutions (derivatives, investable indices) to client segments including Private Banks, Wirehouses, Broker-Dealers and Registered Investment Advisors, with the primary business being the issuance and sale of cross-asset structured notes and Certificates of Deposit.  The team also provides sales support for the Firm’s insurance carrier clients who offer J.P. Morgan Investable Indices via their various policies. In addition to his regional responsibilities, Brandon is a member of the Global EDG and SIDM Management Team, where he co-leads the division’s global retail client strategy, and the Global ESG Committee.

    Brandon joined the Firm in 2006 after graduating from the University of Chicago with a B.A. in Economics.

  • Tom Layton

    Senior Vice President of Product Management, Raymond James Global Wealth Solutions

    During his 21-year career at Raymond James, Tom has overseen product management for a variety of investment solutions. He is currently responsible for the firm’s structured investments (market-linked notes and market-linked CDs) platform as well as OTC hedging solutions.

    His team is responsible for advisor education, sales/consulting, product research/origination, and platform experience. Tom is a graduate of the University of Florida, where he earned a B.S./B.A. in finance with honors. He holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation.

  • Aly Murray

    Founder and Executive Director, UPchieve

    Aly Murray is the Founder and Executive Director of UPchieve, a nonprofit that provides free, 24/7 online tutoring and college counseling to low-income middle and high school students across the U.S. To date, UPchieve has reached over 60,000+ students nationwide and received funding from leading foundations such as the Gates Foundation.

    Aly’s personal experience as a low-income student drives her to fight for a world in which all students have an equal opportunity to achieve upward mobility. Raised in a low-income, immigrant household by a single mom, Aly struggled to navigate the college application process and ultimately enrolled at a local community college after high school. Six years later, she was able to graduate summa cum laude with a degree in Mathematics from the University of Pennsylvania. After graduating, Aly worked in Equity Derivatives Structuring at J.P. Morgan for two years before leaving to work on UPchieve full time. 

    For her work on UPchieve, Aly has been featured in TIME and on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in Education. Aly is also an active member of Impact 100 NYC, a women's philanthropy network that pools members' donations to make multiple $100K grants to local nonprofits each year. 

  • Nkonye Okoh

    Managing Director, Founder of the Action Bond Program, J.P. Morgan

    Nkonye Okoh is a Managing Director in JPMorgan’s Commercial and Investment Bank where she is Global Head of Quantitative Investment Strategies (QIS) distribution for Equity Derivative and Structured Investments Distributor Marketing (SIDM) Sales and is Head of the Americas Pension, Endowment and Foundations (PEFs) Derivatives Business. Prior to these roles  she was  Head of SIDM Sales for Financial Institutions (Private Banks, Wirehouses etc.) in the US and Latin America.

    Through JPMorgan’s Employee Engagement and Volunteerism and Corporate Responsibility programs, Nkonye has worked as a Pro-Bono Consultant for Detroit Parents Network and Women’s World Banking.

    She sits on the Board of Directors for Coney Island Prep Charter School and Business Outreach Center Network. She is a member of the CORE club, Chief and Guggenheim’s Young Collectors Acquisitions Council and  is Co-Chair for Brooklyn Museums Council for African American Art. She was recently named one of The Network Journal’s 25 Influential Black Women in Business for 2020 and a recipient of Crain’s Notable Diverse Leaders in Banking and Finance and Notable Women on Wall Street in 2022.

    Nkonye has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Princeton University. Originally from Oakland, California she now resides in Manhattan.

  • Raul E. Perez

    Director – Head of Sales, Structured Investments Group, Wells Fargo Securities

    Raul joined Wells Fargo in June 2018, He is responsible for the distribution and marketing of hedging strategies and Structured Investment products for Wells Fargo Advisors and all third-party broker dealers and wealth managers in North America.

    Previously, he worked for BNP Paribas for 7 years, where he was responsible for marketing equity derivatives to wealth managers and retail broker dealers in the United States. Prior to that Raul worked for HSBC Bank USA for 11 years, where he was responsible for the marketing of equity and interest rate derivatives to wealth managers and regional broker dealers in the United States.

    Raul has a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Fordham University, Gabelli School of Business.

  • Christian Rieben

    Managing Director, Head of Structured Wealth Solutions

    Christian Rieben is a Managing Director at Bank of America leading their Structured Wealth Solutions in the Americas.  Joining in 2017, he’s led the rebuild and expansion of BofA’s structured notes program.  Working with partners across the investment spectrum, Christian and team are responsible for delivering derivative based investments and solutions across a variety of objectives and vehicles.

    Prior to joining Bank of America, Christian was at Barclays for over 10 years.  Guiding teams within their Equity and Funds Structured Solutions team, he helped establish the firm as a top Structured Note issuer in the Americas.  Christian and team also focused on the structuring, education and distribution of tailored derivative and hedging solutions, exchange traded notes and quantitative investment strategies.

    Christian graduated from Colby College, Magna Cum Laude, receiving B.A. degrees in Economics and Government.  He also studied at the London School of Economics.  He is a CFA charterholder and holds FINRA Series 7, 24, 63 and 79 Licenses.  Christian lives in Connecticut with his amazing wife and 3 energetic daughters.

  • Ashley Saville

    Senior Vice President of Development, Blue Star Families

    As the daughter of two senior master sergeants in the Air Force, Ashley was led to serve upon graduating from Kennesaw State University, commissioning as a second lieutenant in 2009. While on active duty, Ashley was a platoon commander in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, leading convoy operations in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Her last duty station was Marine Barracks Washington. Upon transitioning from active duty, Ashley joined the Private sector, working in sales and marketing roles at AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals.

    Ashley has served in fundraising and sales roles for the past 15 years. She has led development, event, and gift planning departments, where she coordinated and directed initiatives for principal-level partnerships with individuals, corporations, and organizations to advance philanthropic endeavors. She is also a 2026 MBA Candidate at USC.

    Ashley resides at Camp Pendleton, CA with her husband, LtCol Mark Saville, U.S. Marine Corps, and their children.

  • Vanessa Simonetti

    Managing Director, Global Equity Derivatives, TD Securities

    Vanessa joined TD in June 2017 and is now the Global Head of Structured Notes Sales & Distribution and is responsible for the delivery of Structured Products to institutional and third party/retail clients within the U.S. and Canada.

    Prior to joining TD, Vanessa was the Head of Private Bank Sales at Goldman Sachs and was the co-founder of the Structured Notes Third Party Distribution team within the Goldman Sachs Securities Division. She has over 15 years of experience in equity derivatives, including over-the-counter options, systematic trading strategies, and customizing structured notes for a variety of institutional and retail clients.

    Vanessa holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from The Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Bryn Mawr College. Vanessa and her husband, Dan, reside in Chatham, New Jersey with their three children.

  • Evan Tsembelis

    Senior Vice President, Capital Markets, Rockefeller Capital Management

    Evan Tsembelis is a Senior Vice President within the Capital Markets Group at Rockefeller Capital Management.  In his role, Evan works with advisors and clients to create unique investment solutions in the form of Structured Products, Listed Option structures, and OTC derivatives.

    Prior to joining Rockefeller in 2021, he worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch for eight years in a variety of roles, including Structured Investment Origination, and Flow Derivative Sales for both retail and institutional clients. Evan holds a BA in Financial Economics from Columbia University, where he ran Track and Field.

    He resides in Newtown, Pennsylvania with his wife and two children. 

  • Vidal Vanhoof

    Counsel, Derivatives & Structured Products and Capital Markets, Davis Polk & Wardwell

    Vidal Vanhoof is a member of Davis Polk’s Derivatives & Structured Products and Capital Markets practices. He advises financial institutions and other market participants in connection with offerings of a variety of structured products and other U.S. and international capital markets transactions.

     He has extensive experience developing new financial products and negotiating distribution agreements. He routinely advises on SEC, FINRA and other regulatory and transactional matters related to structured products, new product development and financial benchmarks, including benchmark reform.

    Vidal was named a “Rising Star” by IFLR in 2020 and 2021.

  • Michael Yu

    Partner, Fried Frank

    Michael Yu advises banks, broker-dealers, and hedge funds on derivatives and financial products, related transaction and trading regulatory issues and negotiations of ISDA Master Agreements and Confirmations. Michaels experience covers a spectrum of equity, hedge fund, currency, commodity, fixed income, and insurance-linked derivatives and structured products.

    Michael has extensive experience in the operation, maintenance, and optimization of structured-note programs, and leads the point-to-point design and setup of securities offering platforms and their related registration statements and documentation. Michael also spearheads the bespoke automation of structured note programs and works on the coding of offering documentation, closing documentation, and their processes from launch to settlement.

    Michael collaborates closely with our Tax Practice on taxation issues with respect to structured products and optimizing their tax characterization. Michael also works with our Corporate Department on corporate equity derivatives transactions, including advising activist hedge funds on securities and derivatives trading issues and hedging and monetization issues.

    Michael was recognized by the Financial Times Innovative Lawyers Awards in 2021.
